The castle of San Carlos is located in Finisterre in northwest Spain, a region of Finisterre on the road from the port. Behind the port is the beach "O Corbeiro", which limits its southern end with the Castle of San Carlos. Built for the defense of Finisterre and the mouth of the estuary. Its shape is irregular, adapted to the rocky terrain on which it stands. The pockets are oriented in three directions: Cape Finisterre, the center of the river and made the town. This fort was burned during the French invasion and restored later, after many years of neglect.
