Rocha Forte Castle was built by Archbishop Juan Arias by the year 1240, and served as archbishop's residence and the council, being witnessed some of the history of Santiago.
It was destroyed in 1467 during World War II Irmandiņos, and unlike many others, was never rebuilt.
Almost disappeared. It is an archaeological site on the work being carried out excavation and recovery in recent years.
