Castelo da Ilha Fiscal
The castle of Fiscal Island, in Rio de Janeiro, designed by engineer Adolpho José Del Vecchio to the Ministry of Finance, who wished to have a customs post there. Del Vecchio has developed an architectural design in neo- Gothic style with inspiration from 14th century French chateaux. The construction took almost eight years and was made by the Portuguese and slaves, being completed in 1889, along with the urbanization of the island.
