Hi ipflo First I must give you a big thank you, I've been going to buy these books for a long time but the price put me off. After reading your posting, I went looking for the best deal, £100 @ Mercat Press, 5 volumes 2400 pages, thats £20 a book or £1 per 24 pages, it had to be a good buy. Books arrived today, blue with gold letters, 25cm high by 16cm wide, nice white paper, a good looking book. Inside there is every thing that a castle lover wants, it'll take me a long time to read this lot!! SUPERB, the best set of books I've ever bought. Thanks again Chris www.castleuk.net The castle location website. |

Bought my copy in Edinburgh in 1987, it was £95.00 then and I still think it was a bargain. I would recommend this book to anybody interested in Scottish castles, the quality of the plans and drawings are exceptional - my only initial problem was identifying some of the more ruinous castles in the days before OS Map references.
