A Fantastic historical writer, and one of my favourites! Most of her books are romantic as well as historic though, so if you don't really like a little bit of love, I would recommend skipping select chapters in certain books. My Favourite Book - SHADOWS AND STRONGHOLDS - the 12th Century epic story of two families of Welsh Marcher Lords.
