Author Topic:   Shire Steve-O-Gerst Senior Member posted 01-29-2007 01:31 AM             I would like to know about manor homes in the town of Shire England, particularly whether such a structure existed around 1328,-1332 who inhabited it, and what all went on there, beyond the interrment of an anchoress into the local church. There are quite a few towns starting with 'shire', but none that I know of with just that name! Peter
