I have done TONS of research over the past few weeeks and have yet to find satisfactory information on WHERE or HOW one would get enough stone to build a stone castle.

I think that the dearth of such information is what makes people seek alternative (and not nearly as satisfactory) building materials such as concrete.

Does anyone have any sources for building stone / ashlar?

Surely there should be plenty of stone available in your new chosen area - guess it'll be "just" a matter of price?
