Hello everyone, I'm getting serious about building a castle but have only come across Castle Magic as a reputable builder. They seem perfect but I'm hoping for a little competition. Do y'all know of other experienced castle builders? Thanks much, George |

Whew! I read through previous postings until my head hurt. The only name I came across (other than Castle Magic) was Sedelmeier Development Corp. However, I couldn't tell from their site if they are actually IN the business of building castles or if they just want to be. There were only pictures on 1, their own, Burg Jaegerhof. There was also a statement that they had no contracts at present. Any more hints on companies that have built more than 1? FYI, I'm 36 and have the money issues figured out, so this is the real deal. Thanks for your guidance, George |

Hi,I couldn't even find the web site for Sedelmeier! Can you list the web address you found? I'm considering just buildig my own. According to some do it yourself web sites, it really doesn't seem that hard. Also, considering that it took many castles more than seven years to build, doing it myself will be "historically accurate!" |

Hello George, Have you found a builder? Im a builder in Michigan. Just finished a custom tudor style home of my own. We are going to build a castle across the street. Thats why we built the tudor first. We want it {the castle } to fit in the neighborhood. I took a year off to build the tudor, and now planing to get back to work. If your in mid-michigan we should talk. I have been building for over 20yrs, Started my company in 1994. Robert Teed Dream Builders Bath,Mi 517-648-0628 I have been searching the web for blueprints and have found one set of a "Real" castle. What people think of in their mind. Im still looking and might draw up my own. In Michigan you dont need an architech for anything under 3500sq ft. So we might just build up to that size, then get a remodel permit to build it bigger. hey George and Rob i dont live anywhere near michigan, but I do have some great 3d architectural software that might help with more than just concept drawings. I would love to help with the design work at little or no cost. I am getting my finances in order for my own project and helping you would be a win - win situation. let me know if I can help. ~Chris (gizmoraleon@hotmail.com)------------------ Reality is the most conservative figment of my imagination. |

Sounds good. Rob is in Michigan but I'm actually in Houston. Where are you? I'm still looking for land but wouldn't mind pushing the peanut forward on the design. |

As to "real" castles, that's well and true... Yet you post a negative comment in a section of a forum that has to do with "building and renovation your own castle"... Why bother? Do you simply enjoy quashing other's imagination, or just correcting them to follow your more rigid sense of definition?_________________________ http://www.learnalanguage.com/learn-french/ http://www.learnalanguage.com/learn-german/ https://brownsenglish.edu.au/
