Is there really a castle in Germany named "Wolfenstein"? I got this from a game from ID software. Don't think me wrong, though. ID is very accurate in what they use in their games. I just want to know if there really is a castle named "Wolfenstein".------------------ toughguy12 |

no, there is not a real castle called wolfenstein in germany, austria or switzerland. the castle name most near to it is wolfstein, there are 4 castles with that name, one in melk (austria), one in Freyung (bavaria), one in Neumarkt (bavaria) and one (although the czechian name is volfstejn) in Cerrosin (czechian republic) |

Don't care if it's real or not but the game is fantastic! So much atmosphere! A real sleepkiller. |

ipflo, you seem to know a lot about castle Wolfstein, I have a report to do for my History class over something based on World War II. I chose "Castle Wolfenstein" and I can't find any information on this. You say the one most like it would be "Wolfstein" Is this where they tried to create super-humans and monsters used in the war? please follow up with a url. thx ------------------ ...anything else would be ungodly.

I got that game too somewhere - but an old version. A real humdinger and brain killer. |
