Hi,It is very difficult to find information about Bothwell Mansion.
In addition to what Paul has said, I can say:
The demolition was in 1926.
On http://www.geo.ed.ac.uk/scotgaz/towns/townhistory4703.html we can find a very small description: Modern Bothwell Castle, to the E of its ruined predecessor, is a plain Queen Anne edifice, consisting of a centre and two wings;
In the end of the year there will be published a book about lost houses of Scotland. Probably/ hopefully this book will spent some pages on new Bothwell castle
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1845130510/ref=br_lf_b_3/202-7689851-5459057
But if you can not wait for this book, you can look for the following books:
Visitation of Seats by J Burke (1853)
Visitation of Seats 2 by J Burke (1855)
Both these books contain some info about Bothwell Castle.
