I am doing a Grade Eight research project on Dover Castle and was wondering: Did Dover Castle have a moat? Did it have dungeons and if so, what were they like? And what were the bathrooms like? By "bathrooms" I'm guessing that you are refering to the gardrobes (Latrines)which would consist of a hole in the floor leading to the outside walls. Bathing would be carried out by using a wooden tub. As for dungeons, I don't think so but the keep was used to house prisoners of war in the 18th century.
