Would medieval people (14th century)have tried hot springs like the Roman Baths in Somerset when they were sick? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Deborah, I really should know this one having been born just a few miles from Bath and still having relatives there. I very sure that the baths would not be open to the public at that time (The great unwashed). I would assume that the baths belonged to the crown in the 1300's just like the rest of the country and that access would be by invite only.

Would any monasteries/nunneries have therapetic springs that were used for healing?

I'm not aware of any such thing in Britain but the most famous would have to be Lourdes in France. Again, I need some help on this one because its a little out of my sphere.

That's a good idea. I'll try looking up Lourdes!
