The confirmed sites; Glasgow, Cloberhill, Drumry Peel, Lochwood, Castlemilk, Carmunnock, Provanhall, Crookston, Partick, Darnley, Cardonald, Auldhouse, Pollok.
Haggs, Bogton (Muirend), Cathcart, Baronial Tower (Gorbals), Cardarroch.
Sites which very probably had castles or fortified houses, Tollcross, Daldowie, Possil, Knightswood, Kenmuir (Carmyle), Jordanhill, Carntynehall, Blawarthill (Yoker), Scotstoun, Aikenhead & Cathkin.

Not far from you, but in Lanarkshire & Renfrewshire, there are/were castles at Rutherglen, Farme (Rutherglen), Polnoon & Castlehill (Eaglesham), Mains & Torrance(EK), Busby Peel, Roughill & Castlehill (both at Centre 1), Moathill (Busby), a motte & bailey at Castlemilk, Kirkhill /Kirkburn motte (Cambuslang), Drumsagard (Cambuslang), Mearns, Gilbertfield (Cambuslang),Corslie(Eastwood), Tower Rais (Barrhead) and lots more!

And some local Trivia...
Castlemilk was originally called Castleton or Cassilton, being the Castle Town of Carmunnock.
The name Castlemilk was brought with them by the Stewarts from Castlemilk in the borders in 1455 when they gained the estate on the forfeiture of the Douglasses.
One probable site of a Douglas stone castle was at Roughill, just south of the Kittoch Water at Centre 1. The castle was probably destroyed in the aftermath of their forfeiture. There were remnants of the stone catle visible late in the 18thc.
If you ever go down Stewartfield Road, up on the left just before the bridge at Centre 1, you can see along the ditch that cut off the hilltop motte site of Castlehill from the higher ground to the north.
The local name Spittal, is an indication that there was a medieval hospital there. There is also a Spittal past Cambuslang on the road to Blantyre.
Leper 'Spittals' were usually dedicated to St Leonard, and so St Leonard's at East Kilbride is the site of a likely Leper Hospital.

I am shocked i didn't even think there was 4 i can go back and tell the class my teacher will be impressed thank you, you all would get on great with my uncle James his web address is in my signiture, he goes out his way to help people find what there looking for, but he is struggling a bit as he has lost the use of his right arm due to nerve damage, he types with his left hand now and it gets tired easy so i came here looking for answers and found them thank you so much.
