what are the top 10 largest castle in the uk by size largest to smallest ive looked everywhere for this information and i can only find out the largest which is windsor castle. any help would be appriciated. I need this information for my 11 year olds history homework, sounds harder than u think.

Have you tried ask.com, or something like that? I don't really know but I'd say Dunstanburgh in Northumberland has to be a contender. Hope you find what you need!

Hi Reggae I'm not sure about this since "biggest" can be an ambiguous term (the largest castle grounds, largest or tallest buildings..) but I'll make a stab at it off the top of my head. Apart from Windsor and Dunstanburgh I'd pick-in no particular order-Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, Caernarfon, Conway and Caerphilly in Wales and Warwick, Thornbury,Dover and The tower of London in England. And I'd throw in Arundel and Alnwick for good measure.
